This page explains how Phonix Pay uses cookies, local storage, device identifiers, push notification tokens, analytics identifiers, and similar technologies across our public website, merchant platform, and customer mobile app.

1. Scope

Phonix Pay is a product and service operated by Apex Arbitrage Ventures. This Cookie and Similar Technologies page explains how Apex Arbitrage Ventures ("Apex Arbitrage Ventures", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies across the Phonix Pay website, Merchant platform, and Customer mobile app.

This policy applies to:

  • the Phonix Pay public website at phonixpay.one;
  • the Phonix Pay Merchant platform;
  • the Phonix Pay DPC app installed on financed Android devices.

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include browser storage, mobile app storage, device identifiers, session tokens, push notification tokens, analytics identifiers, pixels, and security tokens.

2. Why we use these technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep Phonix Pay secure, reliable, and useful.

Security

Keep users signed in, protect sessions, verify roles, prevent abuse, and support audit trails.

Service operation

Link a customer, contract, payment plan, and financed device to the correct account.

Payments

Start payment prompts, verify payment status, update balances, and trigger unlock or release workflows.

Support and reliability

Understand errors, failed syncs, provisioning issues, app version health, and support requests.

We do not use cookies or similar technologies to read private messages, access unrelated private files, access private photos unrelated to uploaded documents, sell customer personal data, or track unrelated browsing activity outside Phonix Pay services.

3. Technology categories

Category Purpose Examples
Strictly necessary Required for security, login, provisioning, website operation, and device/account linking. Session tokens, CSRF tokens, provisioning tokens, DPC policy tokens.
Security and audit Protect accounts, attribute sensitive actions, investigate disputes, and maintain audit records. User ID, role, IP address, request ID, command result, audit identifier.
Functional Remember preferences and keep the product experience consistent. Language, table filters, dashboard view, cookie preference, app state.
Analytics and diagnostics Improve website content, app stability, platform reliability, and workflow performance. Page visits, error rates, app version, device model, failed sync reason.
Payment-related Verify payment activity and keep account balances, receipts, and unlock state accurate. Checkout status, payment reference, receipt state, payment status cache.
Marketing Optional campaign measurement for the public website, where enabled and consented to. Campaign source, conversion measurement, advertising audience insights.

4. Where these technologies are used

Marketing website

The public website may use necessary cookies for security, load balancing, cookie preference storage, form protection, and site performance. It may also use functional or analytics technologies to understand page visits, button clicks, form starts, form submissions, device type, traffic source, and error pages. Where required by law, we ask for consent before using non-essential analytics or marketing cookies.

Merchant platform

The Merchant platform uses necessary cookies and similar technologies for secure login, role-based access, CSRF protection, session timeout, MFA status, fraud prevention, audit logging, table filters, report filters, and dashboard preferences. Essential platform security and audit cookies cannot be disabled because the platform cannot operate safely without them.

DPC app

The DPC app may not use browser cookies, but it uses local app storage, encrypted storage, device IDs, app installation IDs, provisioning tokens, policy version tokens, command tokens, push notification tokens, payment status cache, document status cache, and diagnostic logs.

These technologies help link the financed device to the right customer and contract, apply DPC policies, display payment information, receive lock, unlock, release, or lost mode commands, send important notices, and report device health. Essential DPC technologies cannot be disabled while an active financing contract requires them.

5. Your choices

Website visitors can manage non-essential cookies through browser settings and any cookie controls we make available on the website. You may reject non-essential cookies, but some features such as analytics, saved preferences, or campaign measurement may not work fully.

Admin and Merchant platform users may manage some functional preferences inside the platform, but essential authentication, security, role, fraud prevention, and audit technologies cannot be turned off.

DPC app users may have settings for notifications, language, support, or similar preferences. Essential device management, payment status, lock/unlock, policy, audit, and release technologies remain required during an active financing contract.

6. Payments

Phonix Pay uses payment-related technologies to initiate payments, verify payment status, generate receipts, update balances, detect failed or reversed payments, and trigger unlock or release workflows after confirmed payment.

Where payments are processed through external payment providers, those providers may use their own systems, cookies, identifiers, and fraud prevention tools. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.

7. Retention and security

We keep cookie and similar technology data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required for legal, audit, payment, security, dispute, accounting, or operational reasons.

We use safeguards such as secure cookie settings, session expiry, authentication, MFA for admin users, role-based access, audit logging, access monitoring, token rotation, restricted log access, and secure cloud storage. No online service is completely risk-free, but we take steps to reduce unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure.

8. User rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, information about how data is used, objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent for non-essential cookies. Some rights may be limited where data is required for legal, security, audit, payment, contract, fraud prevention, or device management purposes.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when we add features, payment providers, analytics tools, security controls, or when legal or operational requirements change. The updated version takes effect when posted unless stated otherwise.

10. Contact

If you have questions about this policy, contact Phonix Pay at info@phonixpay.one, through the support details available on this website, or through your approved retailer. Customers with financed devices may also contact their retailer for account, payment, or device support.
